Having an up to date resource list on hand helps you provide them with useful, relevant solutions. If you don’t have a resource list already, don’t worry - we’ve put together a list of free health and wellness resources for your benefit.

Mental Health Resources

  1. Bounce Back

    Available in BC and Ontario. They provide online coaching using cognitive behaviour therapy. The program is designed to help employees with stress, anxiety, and mild depression. Physician referral needed.
  2. Crisis Help Across Canada

    The Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention provides a list of crisis centres across Canada. Crisis centres are there for people reaching out for help. Highly-trained volunteers listen, understand what callers are going through and talk to them about available options.
  3. Here to Help

    A useful resource for finding more information on mental health issues. Self-evaluations, personal stories and FAQs are available. The website also helps residents of BC find free or low-cost mental health services.
  4. CounsellingBC

    An online information resource in BC regarding counselling, psychological services, art therapy, and psychotherapy. Helps people find the right kind of person to talk to. 

    Physical Health Resources

  5. Telus Babylon Dr Visit

    A mobile healthcare app that allows people to check symptoms, connect with doctors, and access your medical records. Cost for BC residents is covered under provincial healthcare.
  6. EQ Virtual Care

    Connect to a family doctor online. The doctors can send lab requisitions, refer people to specialists nearby, and send prescriptions to people’s preferred pharmacy. Free for those with MSP for medically necessary visits. If you don’t have MSP, it’s $49 per session.
  7. Sun Life Lumino

    Enter your location to find dentists, massage therapists, mental health professionals, and other health-care providers in your area. Anyone can access this service whether or not their have health benefits through Sun Life.
  8. Pharmacy Compass

    Compares cost of prescription drugs at pharmacies within a specified geographic area. Their Preferred Pharmacy Network includes the most trusted pharmacy retailers.
  9. MediMap

    Look up wait times at nearby walk-in medical clinics to find faster access to care. Used in over 900 clinics across 5 provinces.
  10. Inspire Health

    A non-profit that provides services and programs designed to improve the quality of life for people battling cancer. No cost to join.
  11. BC Cancer Agency

    Provides free support and services for cancer patients, with many support groups and programs designed for individual needs.

    Financial Wellness Resources

  12. Credit Counselling Society

    A non-profit charity that helps better educate people on financial matters. Some of their services include free credit counselling, budgeting help, and debt consolidation options.
  13. Smart Path

    Provides a general overview of savings and investing offered by Great-West Life. Available to everyone. They educate people through text, video, and worksheets.
  14. Canada/Money

    Federal government website containing a vast array of information and tools. Covers topics such as managing money, debt and protecting against consumer fraud.
